2026 County Qualifying Times, accompanied by pre-condition information.
Following some great feedback the amended published qualifying times are now in Short Course format.
When the time comes to submit your entries you will need to submit QTs in LC format, from Rankings. Entry times must match the LC time on Rankings or the SC time converted to LC.
Any times not submitted in this format will be rejected.
When you send in your entries, they will be uploaded and checked against Swim England, any anomalies will be rejected, with no option to resubmit so please make sure the times are correct before submitting.
- Make sure your swimmers are showing as Club Compete before you submit your entries
- Make sure every swimmer has their Swim England membership number included
- Make sure times submitted are shown on ranking and are long course or short course converted
Coaches and Team Managers, please ensure your qualifications, safeguarding and DBS checks are all in date now and uploaded to your Swim England Membership page.
One noticeable change this year is that you will all have to purchase your accreditations from your Swim England membership pages and bring a printed copy with you, to be able to acquire an accreditation holder and lanyard and these must be worn on the swimmers balcony and on poolside. There will be specific events showing for Somerset meets so they will be easy to see. This will allow clubs to manage the number of Coaches and Team Managers for the duration of the Counties and without having to share around the passes we had supplied in the past. We are also introducing a new volunteer role to manage the access to the swimmers balcony. No accreditation, no access!
The Qualifying times are now published and will not change!
For transparency, the results from 2025 County Championships have all been checked by event and age group, converted from LC to the SC time.
The strategy adopted was; 50m events = 3 heats, 100m events = 2 heats, 200m + events at least 1 heat – in every age group.
All times have been scrutinised and also checked against our closest neighbouring Counties.
We want the times to be achievable, but challenging. The times published here should achieve this aim.
The pre condition information gives you details of dates and closing dates. The full licensed conditions will be available to you in September.
