Dear volunteers, officials and club secretaries,
Thank you so much for supporting The John Bolton. Overall, we were delighted with how it went and I believe we all contributed to creating a supportive and relaxed atmosphere for our swimmers – most of whom were trying a potentially intimidating race for the first time.
After a quick sweep through the data, it looks like 98 swimmers achieved CQT and a further 18 achieved RQT Considerations. Well done everyone!
In total, 50 people either volunteered or officiated for the meet with our best club contributions coming from:
- 1st: Burnham-on-Sea
- 2nd: Clevedon
- 3rd: AST and Backwell
- 4th: Street and Yeovil
Special mention should also go to Keynsham and Cheddar who brought officials, even though they had no club swimmer representation.
Kelly is writing up a report for our website, our committee and Swim England. If you would like to contribute to this, please forward your comments and ideas in the next day or two.
Distance meets are difficult to run as it is hard to attract sufficient volunteers, so thank you once again for making this happen – I think John would have been proud of us all.
